Kilt is so much easier, just lift & go....
Yeah, the neighbors trees love me.

Aye Matt,
Me too. Went a few years full time kilted, then had to go back to pants at work for a while. Fortunately I'd usually catch myself before I left home in pants. Just wasn't used to zipping up.

Good Vibrations!
I too tend to reach for pockets that aren't there, just like I get phantom cell phone vibrations when I'm not wearing my phone. Don't laugh.......it's a very real phenomenon that I've heard from others and on TV news. I guess when you're accustomed to wearing a vibrating cell phone, you can have those sensations even when it's not on your belt! The same holds true when you search your kilts for pockets that aren't there. Hopefully, with time, that will subside because I plan to wear my kilt more often.
Here's to good vibrations and good kilting!

My biggest problem is trying to put my bilfold in my back pocket.

Well it hasn't been a problem for me so far even though I am rarely trousered.
Just think of that wonderful song from Song of the South when you are...
Zip-up-de-doo-dah!

Painful accidents such as that have caused many to shun zippers and go to buttons or kilts.

I forget to zip every time I wear pants now.
And I have to be careful, too. It's a skill that you lose without practice. : p

Ok, so leaving an event one night I'm looking for my keys. Searching through my coat etc. when I realise that a couple of people are snickering at me. Apparently I kept patting where the key could have been if I had pockets in my kilt.
I plan to go back again when I receive my freedom kilt just so I can retrieve my keys from the kilt pocket.

The great thing about the sporran as opposed to pockets is that you don't have to wonder which one you put something in.
