I love straping on a kilt after a hard days work, it does make you feel more manly.

That is one of the first things that I noticed, very early in my kilted life a woman at work told me I stand taller, and I strut when I'm kilted. Her comment was that she loved it and wished her husband wore one.

I told my wife that I feel like a MAN when I put on the kilt.
She said... "You can't have one"

They pick people from the audience to participate with certain parts of the show. Since I stand out in a crowd, kilted or not, they picked me. They had us walk to the side to explain what to do. While I was standing there, my waitress came up to me from across the room and said with a wink, "You need to be careful of the strut." I said, "So, you noticed?", and she said, "Oh yes...I certainly did!"
They love a man in a kilt!
"Strut" in this case is structural support type of appliance. She did not want you tripping on such an item on stage and answering the question before anyone had a chance to ask it .

Seriously though; I do find myself stomping along, and walking taller. I seem to feel more like myself somehow. And I take more pride in my appearance.

I have to agree with Ozman. I find I'm more concerned that my kit is together and everything matches more when I'm kilted.
My family has been from neutral to very supportive of my being kilted (save the 15 yr old S Son)
I do indeed feel more relaxed and yet standing taller in my kilts.

Last weekend my lady made a comment to me that kilted I don't realize how much I look to others like a man who can take care of himself and is not to be triffled with....okay....but was hoping I looked like that in pants too...
I do stand taller kilted...and prouder...and my hips sway more when I walk...particularly in a 16 oz hand sewn....life is good...

That's wicked you guys.
While reading everyone's posts it reminded me that for me, women do tend to look a little longer also. Even when they're with other guys.
My kilt has been a very good self confidence booster.
