My initial thought was for a dirk sheath. I do like the idea of using cut out shapes to accent a belt though. Perhaps combine a couple of ideas, cover the leather part of a sporran chain belt and accents on a belt.

Lift off and nuke the site from orbit; the idea of sharing a planet with a snake freaks me out.

My advice: keep that skin and look out for more. Then, when you have enough, make yourself a kilt!!
