Thanks guys!!!!
now, as for the sgain, I am not going to take one at all. I made a "safety" one out of ebony earlier this year its just a solid piece of wood. I have only worn it once and it was for a dance at school. Deputy Doug stopped me and made me pull it out he looked at it and said, "As a wood carver, I think that this looks very nice, and it fits very well with your outfit, however as an officer of the law it also looks like a weapon, as it isn't a weapon and its just decoration I won't take it from you tonight, but in future don't bring it along."
that was followed by a very prompt thank you. hehehe he has called me to the office almost every time I have a kilt day to see if I have one on me, and to see my kilts, hes a good guy though and I don't want to cause any trouble.
Now, without further ado I would like to present to you (with much help and many thanks to McMurdo) Casey Ryan:
question, on the fly plaid, do I pin the broach to my jacket? I haven't but I could.
thanks! (especially you McMurdo)
~Casey

P. S. I pin my brooch to the jacket. Some other folks don't, but if you'll take the time to sharpern the pin on the brooch, it'll make a much smaller hole in the fabric. When I wear a great kilt, I pull the extra under the epaulette and pin it to my jacket. Just be sure you don't harm the material with the pin.
You're gonna be a hit!
