Thanks a ton... I'll definitely go and check those places out!
As for a contemporary kilt, I was floored when I saw the Apoco-kilt prototype thread, and did post there... I'd love to get some more info on that bad boy because it looks simply awesome!
EDIT: Looking at the SWK site now and can't believe what I'm seeing in regards to the pricing for the "standard" kilt in Leatherneck... I may just place an order right now.

Don't forget to order a sporran and belt as well! You ought to come to the Dunedin Celtic Festival on Nov 22. Check it out at http://www.dunedinhighlandgames.com/celtfest.html
I'll be there.

Regarding the SWK kilts, I noticed it'd need to be hemmed... this may sound stupid but how difficult would it be for a tailor to do that without screwing up any of the pleats, etc?
I'm all of 5'7" so... the 24" kilt would hang a bit... low.

I'm 5'9" and my kilts range from 23-25". They all fall just above my knee, but the longer one rises higher since it's a band uniform kilt.

Gotcha. S'pose the only way is to just... order one, eh?
Also, checked the calender; I'm off the weekend of the 22nd and I think Dunedin's only like an hour north or so... looks like I'll go ahead and make the trip up.
