    I wonder, would a green jade handle on a sgian go with this tartan Hmmnn...

    This makes my fourth box pleat, three of them are Matt's very excellent work. It is my second by Barb, but the other one is a tank.

    I like both. The knife pleated kilts did not initially appeal to me very much, but I have grown to like them. They are just different, that's all.

    It was a bit of an experiment, and I haven't heard back from him about whether it's the right amount of flare or not.
    It's just right, I think. I really need to wear it all day to find out for sure, I suppose. But the weather, and deer hunting for a week is making that impossible for the moment. If it were any higher rise, it would not be enough flare, but with the 2-1/2" rise, it works out fine.

    My wife thinks it looks good, so I think it is spot on.

    If it isn't enough, it's not all that hard to fix. I'd just take off the lining and the top band and stretch it a bit more while I'm putting the top band back on. Just let me know!
