Several years ago I remember a "wee snippet" on the NY Caledonian Club's web site about a proposal to the NY State Government to reorganise the 79th and allow them to wear a modifed version of the old uniform. If I can find it, I'll post the link here. I don't think it went anywhere, but it was nice to see the various NY Scottish groups endorsing the idea.

Looks great, Rachel! Prayers for your brothers!
A band friend came to visit yesterday, and he showed me a new camo bag cover that he had just made, as well! He also told me a true story: a gent who just got back from Iraq was at band practice Thursday night, and the pipe major was helping him to clean the sand out of his pipes! I would never have imagined such a thing!
