My day plaid I bought from the widow of Edgar MacIntyre, the Drum Major who posed for the Dewar's scotch ads many, many years ago. He was both a drummer and a piper, btw, and a friend of my former pipe instructor. Anyway, yes, I know my plaid weight should be the same as my kilt (which it isn't), but I got what I could get at a good deal! That's trad enough for me!

AND, the green garters are from STM!!!
Jack, I like the "LOOK" IMHO, although the jacket is "most often" associated with "dress' With the "plaid" & the "diced hose" it "WORKS" WELL.
In fact, IMHO, if you had worn a tweed, then the "diced hose" would not have "fit in as well
