Well, I just had 11" cut off mine. Sent it in to www.locksoflove.com This is the second time. Takes me about two years to grow it back out. At present I have a baby ponytail about 3" to 4"s.

Anyway, my hair is some where about mid-back long. The front is long enough to reach around to the hair tie for a ponytail. It doesn't curl.
I guess I could put it in a simple braid, but I really never do. However, when I do pull it back into a ponytail, sometimes I twist the sides under to help kind of hold it all in place better. Don't know if that makes sense.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Been longhaired since 2001, except for a couple times in 2003 and 2004, when it did get unceremoniously lopped off. Used to frequent the old Men's Long Hair Hyperboard, but haven't been there in a while. Just too many forums to deal with. Hair is currently about mid-back length. I do have some thinning going on, due to my wearing it tied back 99% of the time. Usually means that I have to go for a much higher than normal 'tail, to help keep the thinned spots hidden.

There have been several guys called John on that board, but your picture here is tiny! Too small to recognise you. OK, so I admit I don't have a picture here atall.

I have worn a ponytail since 1980. It grew to about mid shoulderblade length and quit growing!
I've survived DAMN near everything

Ron, since Cynthia didn't mention it I will: Have you checked out longhaircommunity.com yet?
Both Cynthia and my wife Diane are members are there are many long-haired men and even some Kilties there. And PLENTY of women who like men with long hair.
I'm not a member myself, but just being a part of that community enriched Diane's life a great deal.

Ha! Small world!! Hi there Alun/O'Callaghan Nice to see ya here! This is my main "home" now. LHC has gotten too crazy for me to keep up with and I found that I really can't experiment with hair products that much, sadly (my bratty hair... grrr... heheh). I still check in throughout the day, but I get behind way too easily and I don't read many threads there anymore.
What a nice surprise, although I don't know why I should be surprised... I keep bumping into people I knew from other places here at XMTS Seems to be quite the gathering place!

I mostly use the friendship part of that board. There's a limit to how much I have to say about hair.
ETA: Someone who I knew from a legal newsgroup popped up on one for Dr. Who! I think the same characters do pop up all over the Internet.

Thanks, will check out the long hair link. Was active for years on the men's long hair board...sort of drifted away too.
