That first one is a stunner!
"A veteran, whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve, is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life." That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it." anon

Brian Lyttle's work is truly outstanding. He's a great deal of fun to be around as well.

Never met him, we did exchange emails a couple of times. I am a long time fan. If he has something sitting about that he needs me to model, let me know

Those are truly sgian porn. But, my favorite sgian was made by our own Piper394. He carved the traditional African black wood handle; it has sterling settings and an amethyst handle. But the cool twist that made me cave in when buying it was that he forged the damascus blade from a used Harley-Davidson chain.

Here's the most recent one I made for myself. Very thin, very simple, very sharp.

As cool as a star blade would be, I would worry about the cancer. No, not the person carrying it catching it, but on the blade. It has been a long time, and not sure whihc book it was in, but exposed meteorites can start to degrade, even some major collections have been damaged before the 'factors' were nailed down...

Fighting the rust I could live with, but not protecting meteorite metal...

    So I looked it up.

Sources ? I would be very interested in such information, if you could provide a reference ?

My only objection to a meteorite blade is that it makes a poor blade (in comparison to what is available today), and is not "hard" by our modern standards. Hard to top it for cool factor though.

I can't find my copy, but I swear I had just seen it a few days ago, when redoing the home library. It was the textbook for one of my classes towards my Geog. degree.
