When the crew first arrive at the fort, they are lead inside by a Highland Grenadier. After the fort garrison surrenders to the French and they march out, just before they are massacred you will note a Highland Grenadier Company at the head of the column.

Not only when our heroes arrive at Fort William Henry as mentioned by Bigkahuna, but in the extended version there is a scene where the Major Hayward commands a detachment of Highlanders to create a diversion for the runners leaving the fort.
Of course, there were no Highland troops at Ft William Henry, but why spoil the beauty of the thing with reality.

There were some Highland troops serving with Rogers Rangers, on detached duty so to speak, in order to learn the Ranger style of warfare.

I quite enjoyed that one, Craig Ferguson stars if I remember correctly
Another good one is "Journey to the Center of the Earth" (The 60's version with James Mason)
Pat Boone not only dresses to the nines in highland finery but serenades a young lady with "My Love is like the Red Red Rose"
