Absolutely fabulous pictures, Rex, which really capture the atmosphere and make the viewer feel they were there with you.
Perhaps an Instakilt would be a good idea to take along to the shower room!!
You even had some authentic Scotch mist, sometimes we get that kind of weather at games here in Scotland.

Rex it was great to finally meet up with with you, sorry I didn't get to meet David. Thank you for posting you photo tour, Linda is seeing all she missed by not joining me at the games. I think she will be there with me next year.

It was good to meet you. Are you sure there wasn't a Santa convention going on at the games? There were so many who looked able to fill the part. Sorry about the camera, man.
Regards,
Rex.

Rex,
Thanks for posting some of your photos of the scenery around the Games. All too often these Highland Games pics thread just show the same type of shots -- bands marching, caber tossing, dancing, etc, -- all of which are wonderful shots. But showing the scenery and the venue really makes one Highland Games distinct from the others. Especially when you have as beautiful a venue as Grandfather Mountain and the surrounding area.

A very special set of pics and a lot of great information in your captions as well... not only beautiful, but a very useful primer for those, like me, who've never been but hope to go. Thanks very much!
