Congrats on the amazing jacket.
I've been wearing tweed jackets since I was about 13 and still do they look great nho matter how old the person is wearing them.

You look very dapper.... I echo the sentiments about the hose and the tie.... But do what you feel is right.

To me tweed repersents county Gentlemen. The kind of thing you would see from the Royal Family when they are in Balmoral for the summer. I think you can make tweed look younger by what you pair with it. I want to start my tweed collection when the wallet gets fatter again.

I would match the pocket square to the tie, and match hose to the kilt. Otherwise you look great!

I would say stay away from the matching tie-and-square route, it can be seen as very tacky.

And if I didn't say so before Paul, you wear that tweed well!

In my humble opinion, the pocket square should be white silk. But I do love the jacket and waistcoat. Tweed is such a lovely fabric. I have a tweed suit, wore it a lot in my teens but sadly it is now a tad tight around the chip kettle.

I'm still in my twenties (barely.. but still...) and I adore tweed. I wear my tweed argyll far more than I ever wear my black argyll...

Why thank you
I never knew at all... I heard he had one son who was born in 03 or 04 who is his heir.
About the hose - I think lovat green may ruin the outfit but bottle green may subtly bring some colour in very well. I'll order a pair of each to try them out as they're only £6 each... it ends up cheaper than going into a shop and trying/looking at both pairs and then buying one for £15 or so.
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

I'm 25 and I have in the past associated tweed with older folk.... but honestly, with a kilt it just sort of...makes sense.... and I'm going to wear it!
