    cont.

Of course there is the Man as well

    (I didn’t take this photo)

And not least, a monkey painted green from top to tail (when in Rome . . . )

I’ve got tons of photos of the mutant vehicles, colorful participants, etc. but those aren't exactly kilt related, so we’ll just say thanks for coming along for the ride.

    Best regards,

    Jake

    Jake,

    These were great!

What is the story behind the wonderful monkey jacket?

    Cheers

You had me until the dust storms. Looks like great fun -- for SOMEBODY ELSE to enjoy!

Glad you had the chance to scratch something off the bucket list!

Great shots Jake, I agree the monkey jacket is too cool to just hang up, you got to wear that out to more Nor Cal things. A friend I worked with went down to Burning Man a couple years ago I gave him a kilt to take with him. I never got it back, not sure if he sacrificed it or not.

Kind of funny, I knew I wanted to make some kind of light up outfit, and found a monkey placemat in my kitchen. No one knows where it came from, but I immediately recognized that I could use it as my template. Here you can see the work in progress.

I sewed the finished product onto a vest. Pleased to report I got lots of compliments on it.

    Best regards,

    Jake
