VPS, there are plenty of Prince Charlies floating around and you might use your Chieftan size as a good starting point. If you like the look of the Inverness skirts in front ( tashes, tails, flaps, what you may call them), you might want to look into a Regulation Doublet, as recently discussed in this forum on a thread posted by MacMillan of Rathdown.

Front and Side view of the larger waistcoat. Opinions appreciated. If this one looks small too, I'll probably return them both.

Well.... I've rethought this. I agree that it looks better, but after I posted the pictures, I started comparing it again to the "display" model on the scotweb site, and I'm convinced the sides should hang more parallel to each other. It just looks too wide at the bottom.
So, I'm sending them both back. Sigh. Someday I'll run across someone making that style where I can try it on first-hand.
But thanks for the opinions!
On the upside, I decided to order an argyle jacket and vest combo from USA Kilts. They have an option for "long" as well, so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Excellent choice! If there's any question about sizing, e-mail Rocky. I believe the "long" will mostly affect the sleeve length, but I don't know about waistcoat or overall length.
