For round 3, how about a flight of Glenmorangie (Original, Lasanta, Quinta Ruban, Nectar D'or, 18 years, and 25 years)...That'll keep you warm on a snowy car-less night!

I've now enjoyed a good snort of each and I have to say the Bunn wins for me.
My fave is still the Highland Park but in this battle...the Bunn wins over the Macallan.
I must add that although I prefer the Bunn..... it in no way means it is going to be better for you. The only reason I even present these polls is to get a general idea of which ones to try out.
Example... if I ask true Scottish scotch drinkers about scotch A and B and scotch A gets 12 votes while scotch B returns only 1.... good chances are that A is a better scotch.
I've compared some really good brands here though.... but I can't test them all. (Actually I can....it jest may take a while)
I hope to keep picking yer brain to steer me in the right direction.
When testing fine single malts.... there really is no loser... other than me pocket book.

My pick of this list is the Macallan, followed by Bunnahabhain; the latter is rare for me as I'm not a big Islay fan. I would note that I actually prefer the Macallan cask strength to the 12 year. Especially sine the price is comparable, at least where I live.

After much further "testing'...I was wrong...The Macallan wins. VERY close though.
8 days until the next test!

So I found a store with an INCREDIBLE single malt selection. It was as if I was in a toy store! They had everyone we have talked about...and LOTS more.
I get on my iPhone and look up XMarks to see what all you wise people have been saying about these and the owner comes over to inquire about what I am doing. Once i explain my quest to find the best singles (and by "best" i mean my favorites) and I tell him of the forum and the polls... he rushes off to bring me documentation on several of these singles. He and I read so much from the different distributors that I think if i had a chair...I could have sat in there most of the day.
GREAT information and a great find for me.
I think for the next "Rate the Singles: Part 3"... I will do the Glenmorangie line.... I picked up the Lasanta today...report to follow.
