MacArthur, Part II
SO..as I mentioned in another thread, the MacArthur made its grand debut at Mass this evening (I just got back, in fact!).
Nobody said anything...I think they've become used to my kilts! When Mass was finished, I excitedly said to a friend of mine (Catholic school teacher, but not one of the nuns), "This is my family tartan!"
She replied, "WOW! The official King tartan!" (my last name is King). I said, "NO...it is MacArthur." She exclaimed, "WOW! That sounds VERY IRISH!" I replied, "Umm...No...its Scottish."
She then got to listen to a lesson in my family history...I'm sure she will NEVER forget the MacArthur tartan (and she invited me to go to the Alma highland fest with her this summer!)!

I'm glad it went so well for you at Mass sister. BTW, if you do go to Alma, look me up - I'll be hanging out at the Lamont tent.

Well, we're all waiting for Sister Mary Shutterbug to get back so we can get a pic. I can only guess that you're wearing that MacArthur non-stop and having a great time of it.
Best

Thanks for your replies, everyone!
Luckey - I will look you up at Alma if I get to go!
Auld argonian - I pick the long lost Sisters up at the airport late tomorrow. After a few days to recover from the trip, I'll see if we can get a photo up.

See you can learn something useful in church

True, Joe, which some of us know can happen, sometimes often. Just like school, in that regard, eh?
