She needs to charge more. Most knitters who sell their work will charge between $.10 and $.30 (or higher) per yard depending on the complexity of the stitching, plus cost of the materials. She could easily be charging over $100 labor on those. Please tell her not to sell her self short.

(Of course it's up to her what to charge for her work, and it very well could be that she gave you a special price. But I think it's important for people to realize that this is not the going rate!)

    kilt hose

Well stated Matt. I know that insofar as this was the first pair she had ever made, she was a little nervous and dubious about how they would turn out, or if I would even like them.

I have in fact been in touch with her today and I admonished her to charge more.

Don't know what that will end up being, but I am certain it will be affordable to most.

It would probably be gracious of any to whom I give her contact info to, to not quote me on the price she charged me.

She was quite excited that pictures of her work have been seen and so well received by so many people.

    Regards aye,

    T.

She did tell me that she would welcome inquiries. Just need to get her email address from her,

    Regards aye,

    T.
