    Great pics Ron.
Indeed many years ago now I started a thread at x marks about kilted caving/potholing. I have usually worn my cilt caving as long as it hasnt been a cave which meant totally emmersing in water, then I worn me wet suit. Here are a few pics that I originally posted, I have also worn out my 'yellow' cilt due to caving. Will put up a pic on new thread to show you can wear a cilt/kilt out ... not in normal everyday use though.. they will last a lifetime.

My feeble besotted memory still has a few sparks left...did a search for spelunking and came up with this too.

Thanks Ron. That gave me an idea! The wife says I have enough kilts(in response I cite individuals such as yourself, Hamish, etc.) but maybe if I take some of my lower quality off the rack kilts and beat the stuffing out of them in caves, digging my truck out of mud holes, hiking in the worst brush I can find...and completely wear them out, get holes in them, all that, she won't gripe when I call in an order for a few new ones!!! I can upgrade because one should always replace something "failed" with something better, and if I play my cards right expand my collection by sneaking in an extra order here and there! I'm sure she doesn't know how many Wallace or Stewart or Gordon kilts I have. She never washes them...I take care of them. Brilliant!! You sir are a godsend!

    A wifeless Godsend.

For sure I'd not have as many kilts if I had one of them wife thingies. Just me.

Another form of FREEDOM and variety....

I don't think it'd take an anthropologist to figure out that single men usually own more kilts.....

I think you're right about single guys having more kilts. Us family men have more obligations(and someone to have to work out expenses and priorities with) and the little ones are expensive. Worth it, priceless...but expensive. And once my boy is walking and I stuff him in a kilt my costs will rise I'm sure. Maybe I'll win the Redneck Retirement Fund(AKA Powerball) and won't have to worry about it!
