    Hi Jeremy,

So sorry to have missed you. I knew about it, but got busy with friends and opted out this year. I'd like to join the Ceili Band just to be able to perform with them. They go everywhere and are at all the local feises, etc. I know I'll be able to build up my jig, slip-jig and reel repertoire with them for sure ! ! ! In the meantime, tho, I'm very focused on kilt making so if you've got any advise, I'm all ears!

    Slàinte!,
Only 9 notes. How hard could it be?

Alas, I'm not one of those into kilt making.

I know some members of the Hiberian group, but I've never played with them. Irish and Scottish music have rather different styles that don't usually mesh well.

I bought Barb's book -- thanks, Barb! . . . and am just about ready to attempt making my first kilt. I'm not wasting time practicing, but plan on jumping in and swimming with the sharks on my first. I'm pretty good with my hands so a wee bit of luck and a few prayers for good measure and I ought to be OK. I'll keep you posted on how things go. It should be an interesting journey! I'm open to all suggestions so please don't hold back.

OK, I'm off and running again. Yet another gig!
