Robert, je trouve la niege mieux en photo qu'en realité, mais vos photos sont chouette!
Don't they have snow all year round in Haute-Savoie?
Thanks for sharing. Whereabouts in France are you situated (perhaps in Haute-Savoie)?
I'm in a little village just outside of Nimes in the Gard and I must say that even a few centimetres of snow here and it's a general panic!

It's just amazing Robert. You have even more snow than here in Norway. From the looks of it, it's pretty cold too. Here in Norway we have had under -15C for the past two weeks. Some days even under -20C.

Well Done....
As always, my friend, it is wonderful to see your pictures! I love your house and the scenery around it and you do, indeed, have a marvelous family. You and Chrystel should be very proud of those two beautiful girls, as I know you are. I look forward to seeing more pictures from you this holiday season.
As for me, we've had about the same amount of snow here in New York State over the past week. I've just left Fort Drum, NY where we received approximately 8 inches of that white stuff the day that the movers were packing our belongings into a truck. I'm currently at my father's house with my family, where we have received approximately 2 feet of snow in the past three days. My family and I will begin our drive across this great country tomorrow morning with two cars, a trailer, 2 children, 2 dogs, and a cat...I'm hoping that it stops snowing for the next 48 hours so that we can get safely out of the Northeastern United States!!
Have a wonderful and joyful Christmas season.
Joyeux Noel!
Jeff

Thank you all for your kind comments and wishes !
I do see snow all year long on the mountain tops around where I live (Brizon, Haute-Savoie) but these "eternal snows" are situated 3 400 metres high; no one lives there.
Our house is 1 200 metres high, and the temperature is very mild (around 0° Celcius)
best,
Robert

Though it's none of my business, I have to ask, do you heat your house with wood fire? And if so, how many barns and outbuildings does it take to store a year's supply of firewood?
As usual, your pictures are the best I've seen so far, and I'm quite envious for some of that snow.

So it looks like the tree got a healthy serving of Pellegrino water perhaps?
And what's the story on the cat?
