Methinks the author of the article is too in love with his/her own flowery writing and simply looking to stir the pot! Short answer: Whoever said opinions of 'The Chap' carry more weight than anyone else?! Kilt on!

    Just my two cents.

Would that even be the case regarding the Royals Jock?

To me it is seeking out the best you can afford, and taking time and considering what you do.

Since the original posting of the Professor Elemental video in this thread (which I found to be absolutely the funniest thing I've seen in a long time, especially since that video is about him disrespecting Dr. B), I've been looking about for more. His Cup of Brown Joy video is quite entertaining, especially if you enjoy tea.

In fact, much more can be seen of Professor Elemental at http://www.professorelemental.com .

As for Dr. B, he is mildly amusing in his own way, and he certainly has a large following. He's not a Professor Elemental, though.

You must remember there are folks with Scottish Ancestry who had to leave Scotland and find their fortunes elsewhere. Many did well and are proud of their achievements plus their ancestry. Now some minor player whose folks stayed behind feels they can sneer and be rude abiout folks who want to maintain the tradition of kilt wearing. Go ahead and wear it anywhere and any time.
