I've done that too. I like not only the overall size of that sporran but the way it's "compartmentalized": Main compartment, front panel compartment in front of that, and yet another for keys/change/whatever in the flap.

Why carry a flask? It already comes in a bottle. What do you do once the flask is empty, and you left the rest of the bottle at home?

You know...that's a good point.
The grass is greener on the other side of the fence...and it's usually greenest right above the septic tank.

I think you just blitzed th' frakk out of a classic Zen-style conundrum.

I have a back muscle spasming tonight and gave this a try. This would probably work quite well with a tawny port, I had a decent French brandy and a very raisiny cooking grade ruby port in stock.
Good stuff, thanks for the concept.

I tend to not carry a flask at all, I don't feel good about driving when I am at 1/3 the legal limit. One of my buddies is po-po, I have blown into the wee tube a time or two just to see where I am. Please continue to respect your limits fellas.
I think I am going to toddle off to the kitchen to whip up some more Fox blood, it seems to be working.

AKScott.
Glad to be of service! In fact port and brandy is a very handy mixture mixed at half in half proportions("stunnum") is very good for the use you have just put it too! In the more diluted(!) form it is used as an excellent "settler" for upset stomachs----a small wine glass full, sipped over say half an hour it is a magic potion. For those that don't know port, be warned! If you overdo it, it is very, very unforgiving!

I know port Jock... (from a previous life). I must try your "Stunnum". Sound's a bit like the "Blood of the Empire" we used to drink (50/50 port and grouse).

Jock, your stunnuim sounds like potent stuff. But I doubt that it has the potency of a drink that was standard at the university residence my great-uncle, my father and I all stayed in as youngsters.
Made of equal portions of sherry, port and hock, it was known as herriepok.
It was renowned as an instigator of hangovers!

I carry a very small, flat flask in my sporran, one in my shirt pocket (a very small, flat, round one that only holds about 2 oz.), one in my inside coat pocket, and if I think it necessary, one in the side jacket pocket.
Don't want to run short of scotch. And, I find that I can take a couple different brands for comparison.
