    Yes, I thought that at first, too, but if you look closely, there's nowt wrong with the shoe buckle.

    Very nice PC there! You'll stand out from the crowd. I love high quality vintage things like that.

    I've seen a number of interesting combinations being sold by Geoffrey Tailors, one was an Archer Green Argyll jacket with black braided epaulettes and the cuffs done in a different way than one usually sees: instead of the fabric of the cuff itself being gathered and stitched to create a bead that runs the length of the cuff under each button, each button had a loop of black Russia braid, sewn exactly like the white, gold, or silver braid loops seen on military No1 Dress/Full Dress doublets. It really elevated the Argyll to a lovely Evening Dress jacket.
