Congratulations
Now about this tooth!
No, really. Congratulations. My wife and I were looking over the gowns. They are certainly colorful. Between us we have two gowns, two hoods, eight degrees, and only one academic hat. What a mess when we both have to be at a graduation. She usually wears the doctoral gown and hood.

Just been made a doctor... for the second time
Actually, when I checked the offical weather records for the day in question, the temperature was 20 degrees centigrade (70 degrees fahrenheight) - but it felt a lot warmer!
I suppose these figures are hardly even "warm" to some of our friends in the US, but it was exceptionally warm for me at any rate.

Those gowns are much brighter than most U.S. doctoral gowns. Mine is waiting in the closet for 13 more days. It's black with three velvet black sleeve stripes. I've been kilted much more lately just to increase the comfort level and not look uptight at graduation. Pictures will be posted.
