Braves fan.
Hey MacWage, remember;
Go Braves! and take the Falcons with you.
The times have certainly changed.
I miss the inlaws place at Mytle Beach, the Pelicans were a blast. Minor's are real baseball, no prima donnas to put up with. I also miss the Capital City Bombers in Columbia. Columbia's lost is Greenvilles gain.

OK, so they no longer exist (and haven't for years). Now they're the (cough) Potomac Nationals...
So now "my" team is
Gotta love a ballpark where you can decide to go to the game the day of the game and score first row reserved seats almost anywhere between first and third for $11!
True, there's no "club" service like at Camden Yards, but it's a great way to see the game played!
(Oh, and my favorite MLB park has to be Wrigley Field - love the bleacher seats on the rooftops across the street from the park! Hope the Cubbies don't build up the right field line like they were talking about.)

He's announcing DBacks games now.

Steve Finley pitched an inning for the Backs, back in 2001, as well. That was another useless play-it-out game. He didn't give up a homer like Gracie, but he did walk one and plunk another. But they both managed to get their three outs. No doubt due to the batters' inability to maintain any composure, b/c of all the laughter...

I can actually remember going to see the Richmond team as a kid They were they were the Richmond Virginians back then, and were the Yankees AAA farm team. Remember Mel Stotlemeyer, I saw him pitch in Richmond. The highlight of the Virginians visits was seeing the comic umpire, Al shack umpire an exhibition, in which Satchel Page pitched. He must have been in his 60s or even 70s then, but "I got to see him".

My team, the Philadelphia Phillies, just made the playoffs (Thanks Mets!)
But clearly they were “Not Ready for Prime Time”. They got clobbered.
I hope that Colorado wins the Series. They look like a "Team of Destiny".
The Boston teams -- Baseball AND Football* for that matter -- are the new teams to dislike.
*Don't even make me think about the Eagles.

Aaaah...don't knock Boston. I'd like to be able to dislike them because one of the few Wjite Sox games that I got to this year was with the Red Sox and my Sox got their @$$ soundly kicked. (Though I did call a Juan Uribe home run precisely...much to the amazement of my family.)
I'm hoping for the Rockies as well but only because they look to me like they deserve it more...nothing against Boston...they played well and got there legitimately. I have just gotten to the point where I enjoy the game so much that it's just fun to watch...as long as everybody's playing their best (did you hear me there, Jermaine Dye?).

I was a huge Dodgers fan until the Communists took over MLB. (Wild cards? That is SO WRONG!)
That and the various players' strikes really put me off baseball.
However, I still hate the Yankees. ;)
