    I'm

I believe what I am about is evidenced by my actions. This is the only way people will know me.

Everything else that people can see about me - including how I dress - are just symptoms of my particular self.

I am a proud father and loving (& dumb) husband.
I am a veteran and patriot.
    I am a liberal.
    I am a pagan.
    I am a music fan.
I am a long-haired, kilt-wearing character. The kilts are as much a part of me as my long red hair.

I am a father first, foremost, and always and I define my life by my children. Since my wife left, they are the only thing that is important to me.
I care nothing for what anyone thinks of me as long as I follow my heart. Selling out and conforming just to fit in so that everyone will like me just doesn't feel right.
Everything else is subject to (sometimes instant) change.
Wearing a kilt is not particularly a part of my 'identity' and is more a comfort thing. Plus I think they look nice.

I am a unique individual. Never in the history of the world, for good or bad has human DNA combined, and culture combined in exactly the same way as it did to help create who I am, but more than my physical attributes my soul was already a unique creation. When the three combined here I am. I believe that this transcends what I do for a living. I also believe that it is in what I spend my time doing which shows, and helps to create who I am. This life is like we were given a partially started sculpture, and told to make it what we want it to be.

I am a multi-layered individual. Plain, simple, and introspective.

No offense meant, Glen, but the first thing that popped into my head when I read that was the whole "onion" scene from "Shrek."

    Who am I?

Nothing particular, never having developed any of the talents that showed temselves in my younger days, so I don't stand out in a crowd, or anywhere else.

Perhaps that is why I wear a kilt; it makes up for some other shortcomings, and, kilted, I do get noticed and remembered.

There won't be an answer to this question until I am dead. Then ask the question; if anyone remembers me, then you will know who I am.

    .
I like how this was expressed. Clothes do make the (gentle)man, or at least they certainly help!

Who am I? I am unashamedly, uncompromisingly, & quite simply ME!

I am a cynic, a dreamer, a pragmatist, a romantic, an optimist, a pessimist, and a happy-go-lucky grumpy old man. In fact a living breathing oxymoron. I'm a Scotsman who by education & childhood training is now an Australian. I've finally reached the stage in life where I actually ENJOY being me, & have no trouble facing myself in the mirror every morning.

After many years of trying to fit into the accepted "norm" of my new country, I have returned to the kilts, Hogmany, Burns, & cholesterol-laden food of my youth with gusto, all with a broad Aussie accent & name still spelt in Gaelic.

I guess I'm just repeating that I'm me: a human, and unique!
