I had seen Nick, on this forum wearing a kilt and one of the lighting guys that worked at our community theater wearing a Utilikilt that I knew then I had to have one too. I went to the forum for Utilikilts, but didn't really like the atmosphere there, so I believe I asked Nick and he directed me here!

I had been a member of a different forum based around non-traditional kilts. The forum itself became pretty contentious. Someone finally posted something along the lines of "Well, if you don't like it - go join XMarks the Scott."
So I did.
I found what I was looking for here, and haven't looked back.

I was looking into getting a kilt as the "visual aid" required for a presentation i was making in my English class on Robert Burns. After wander through cyberspace, Xmarks showed up on a google of something. First I looked through everything that I could find and, based on the information and my budget, I got a SportKilt. Later on, when looking for help for prom, I joined up. I've been hanging around since then.

As far as I remember it was someone in Sporran Clan who told me about it.

Back in Sept '04, I had ordered a kilt at a Highland games venue. The customer service was so bad that I wound up filing a BBB complaint. I went online, looking for a place where I could post my experiences and warn others about said company. Xmarks came up in the search and I joined.

It has been a while so I don't remember exactly what brought me here. It was probably from Tom's Cafe or some other web kilt search. I dropped out for awhile then last year I ran into someone while in Indiana who was wearing a kilt. This site was mentioned in the conversation so that got me interested again. Now building my kilt collection.

Mr. Kilt,
It has come to the attention of the Staff here at X Marks the Scot that you are solely responsible for the presence on our forum of the individual known as ccga3359, aka Grant, aka "The Rubber Chicken Guy", aka "Mr. Mane of Blond Hair and Pert Buttocks", aka "Queen of the Arctic Circle", and a host of other appellations that cannot be posted on a family friendly forum.
Several members of our Moderating Staff would like to have words with you (most of which also cannot be posted on a family friendly forum)
We will be in further contact with you to schedule an opportunity to explain yourself.
Have a Nice Day
