    Mr. Cavscout,
this is the best i can do for right now? the camo glens are cotton. with a cotton liner. the khaki glen is linen with a band of USMC tartan, its also lined in cotton. as you can see i have used small black pom poms. i tried making them at first without the poms, but latter decides that without the poms they just were not right.

Those are very nice! The khaki glengarry with leatherneck tartan headband is a standout.

    Very nice work.

    Cheers

Hmmm, they sound interesting. I guess it does bring up the size of the toorie too. Is it more manly to have a small toorie, or to have a giant toorie on your bonnet?

I'm thinking the smaller toorie might be better...
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Mr. Crocker, i have been told on a few occasions that size does matter, but in this case i think i will stick with small is better.

Very nice! They all look nice but I like the MarPat the best. That could work with my PK MarPat to keep the cranial burning to a minimum A little starch and a cover block would give it a very crisp look.

I love toories. Here's part of a song my mom and dad used to sing:

'Twas the toorie on his bonnet,
    The red toorie on it.
    His red toorie-oorie-oorie-ay -
He left his kilt and sporran
And off he went to war in
    His red toorie-oorie-oorie-ay.
    And when swinging into action
    He's the centre of attraction
He's the pride of Bonnie Scotland, so they say.
But what made the Gerries run?
It was not his Tommy gun,
'Twas the toorie on his bonnet,
    The bonnie toorie on it
    His red toorie-oorie-oorie-ay!
"Touch not the cat bot a glove."

mr. cavscout, when you make yours just use a stiffer interfacing that will give you a crispness. i didn't use any interfacing in the to camos, i was going for a softer look and feel. the khaki glen has a light weight interfacing. these glens breath quit nicely so if you start adding starch and heavy interfacing your head will heat up a lot quicker. hope that helps?

Yes, otherwise you're risking venturing into clown costume.

LOL! Not convincing enough, though, for me.
