Now it's the turn of No.93
Yes, No.93 in The Kilt Kollection was safely delivered yesterday from Geoffrey (Tailor) Ltd of Edinburgh and, of course, I am thrilled with it. Actually, I have been waiting for a while for this one but weaving problems at the House of Edgar mill held everything up for several weeks. Still, I have it now and, as has often been said, good things are worth waiting for!
What is it then? Well, I have long wanted a pretty much all-green tartan and finally settled on the Galloway Hunting tartan in muted colours - the modern colours being far too strident for my liking. This is also known as the Galloway Green - ITI No. 1467. So here it is, my latest 13oz, 8 yard kilt.
First, worn with my lovat green Braemar jacket (quite a while since that has seen the light of day!):

and then the required pleat shot:

Finally, an image showing how well my all-green Freelander sporran, together with the green belt and sporran strap gifted to me by McMurdo**, works with this fine District tartan.

(**Sorry Glen but I interchanged the brass buckle with a chrome one for this ensemble - I think you'll agree it looks better to have co-ordinated metalware as well!
)
Advance notice: No.94 is due in 10-14 days!
Take care,
Ham.
