Most excellent. The mayor here in Red Deer wears the kilt to some functions as well. It's quite well known and was mentioned on the radio just the other day. Before you all ask. He wears the City of Red Deer tartan

That was not Gregor's first outing with his kilt. If any one wants to see him in a kilt, come to the Gung haggis fat choy dinner on January 25, 2009. He will be there with other Vancouver city Councilors as well. Some of them will be kilted as well. A few months ago, Vancouver City Council woman Heather Deal was at the Vancouver Kilts night.
Larry Campbell, a former Vancouver, owns an Utilikilt Workman and had his photograph on the Utilikilts website for a while. He had moved on and became a Senator.
Aside from Gregor, there is also another kilted official. He got elected to the Vancouver Parkboard last month as well. He is not only a Vancouver Kilts Night regular, but also a member of this this board. He is none other than our own Northernsky. I am not sure how often he will be visiting this site as he now has 2 jobs!
Vancouver is just a different city and that's why I am not leaving.

Well, said, Raphael. I didn't mean to leave you out of the roll call, either, Stuart. Kilt-friendly Vancouver has simply too many of us to list and it was just that Gregor had his pic front-and-centre the day after his inaguration. Good, subtle media attention for all the world to see.

I forgot to mention one more thing.
Heather Deal is one of the pictures that Glen posted. She is the lady in the red jacket.
The Chinese guy in the picture is Raymond Louie. He is one of the City Councilor and he wore a Royal Stewart to the Gung Haggis Dinner last year.
