Lunch with the Mayor
Greetings kilted brethern,
Today was a big day for the neighborhood. A big land swap from several government agencies to enlarge a park in my neighborhood.
The official ceremony was at noon today. All the hoopla and speeches along with all the pats on the backs of everyone involved, really not a major deal looking at it, but because 5 governmental agencies were involved the bureaucratic nightmare lingered on. A simple task 30 years in the making.
Well lunch was served, all the Mayors, City Council Members, Board Members of the intergovernmental agencies stayed and of course were fed along with those who are involved in the community council.
With the local media present, and all those dignitaries do you think that any mention of my kilt would come up? No, everyone was asking about my watch and my shoes.
BTW my watch is well over 100 years old, and my shoes are Z-Coil (Ron knows about them).
Another non eventful kilted day, as well as it should be.

Daniel,
In answer to your questions check out www.z-coil.com for the pictures of the shoes.
My watch that I was wearing is an Omega, half hunter-demi-hunter, double-pointed hour hand-two dials from about 1900. I only wear it for special occasions

Plenty of media coverage, but as far as I could tell none of me all kilted. Just as well it might have taken away from the main event. I am sure that if they did get pictures of me, I will be told by someone who saw it.

Crack me up Glen...same thing's happened to me...wearing a kilt and Zcoils and people comment on the shoes...guess that's good.
I agree, ZCoils look good with kilts. I just was down in Flagstaff, AZ (closest store for me -140 miles south) and bought a pair of ZCoil Workman's boots in anticipation of someday receiving my black leather UK...but its only been on order 7 weeks...
I have a total of seven pair of ZCoils now. I love them. Took away my plantar pain on my left foot as soon as I put them on. Plantar pain in my right foot was gone in a couple weeks of wearing them.
The spring absorbs the impact of walking...about 50% of it.
Plus, when I'm wearing a kilt I believe the ZCoils put a little extra sway into the kilt as I walk.

i discoverd the shoe wear has its own philosophy aside kilting sometimes
never seen such shoes before in whole europe. how long do they exist?
so the technique is more comfortable i suggest?
they look a bit to sporty for me as i am more the classical type. exciting and interesting shoe.

Couldn't tell you more than what's on the website..think they have a good history posted there too.
The folks at ZCoil are very freindly. I'm sure they'd answer any emailed questions for you.
They were very happy to have some pictures of their ZCoils attached to a pair of kilted legs.

Greetings,
I've been reading the "Z-Coil" comments, and a similar scenario happened to me a few months ago.
I was standing outside a shop, wearing my black UK Workmans and my White's boots...And noticed a couple "looking at me". "He" Keeps saying, "*I* don't want to ask him..." and she says "If *you* don't, *I* will"...
So he finally wanders over and asks "Where'd ya get the boots?"
I have to admit, it was the last question *I* had anticipated!
