I've just seen Mark Goodwin's hand forged buckles in this section of the forum.

Wow, got to get one to go with my sporrran and belt!

    Chas

I ordered my sporran and belt pouch from them off ebay and it was delivered to the US in about a week by airmail, but then that is to the US, not Endland. I was also able to use Paypal at their ebay site. Unfortunatley their ebay site does not hat all the stock their website has.

I thin it is definitely time to contact them through the contact info on the website. If no response, then it might be time to contest the payment. Good luck.

Any delivery yet Chas? Maybe it got lost or confiscated in the mail by a person who wants to become a kilted member of the forum.

    Hello All,

    The saga continues...

    Two Issues:-

First, I received the sporran after having to pay a further £10.52 for excess customs and handling charges. Someone from Nifty Notions made up the Value figure which bumped it over the tax threshold. Why would they do that? I have emailed them with the complaint and am waiting for a reply.

Second, it's too small. The dimensions on the website do not match the dimensions in reality. They are all 1/2" too small. This would make a very good boy's sporran, but is no good for a man sized man.

I really want this to work - on the face of it good looking sporrans at a really good price. But at the moment, there is no part of the deal which even meets the lowest standards.

I'll keep you all informed as I get more info.

    Regards

    Chas

I am sure that the Australians don't send packages on slower air-planes.
When did the Aussies get planes? Problem is, the 43,000 kiwis going to Aus a year bungs up their airports...

    Interesting, no croc based products?

And Kangaroo's (make cool sporrans IMHO), for some reason, some idiot put bloomin wallabies on a couple of islands off the NZ coast (years ago), and what a surprise, population explosion...which is being taken care of in best Trans-tasman way at the moment...(they are shooting them all)

Here is my take on them:

I ordered two item from them. [1] Medium sized brown leather belt pouch. [2] Large sized black leather rabbit sporran.

[1] The medium sized sporran is a nice sporran for casual activities. It is as wide as it is long, so it's smaller than your average sporran and I find it is just large enough for my wallet, phone, and keys...Plus the occasional movie ticket, which is what this sporran is perfect for. It's smaller so it doesn't get in the way of your popcorn at the theater. Also sitting down for 2 hours means the smaller sporran doesn't bunch up your apron or anything.

[1] The large sized sporran is the more traditional sized guy. It comes in plain leather, kangaroo fur, and rabbit fur. They cannot ship kangaroo sporrans outside of Australia (they may be able to in the future?). The couple who run the site explained that they are currently applying for a license that will allow them to sell kangaroo sporrans. It is slightly smaller than my other sporrans, but much deeper. The craftsmanship is very nice compared to other sporran of the same price. The leather is very soft for how stiff it is. It is the best bargain I have seen.

Hah thats funny, I bought the one just under yours on the site.
    This one:

Price was GREAT but wasn't too sure about the size, although judging by your pic looks like it'll be fine. Should be getting to me early this week.
