Guess Dinos are/were wildlife too eh? Here's a pic of some Dinosaur "coprolite," a.k.a fossilized shyte, under my foot.

And here's a track from a dino that may have left that deposit.

Location is down on the Navajo rezlands near Monauve, Arizona

Guess I could toss in a begging Raven at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon...wild technically, but a tourist begger by trade.

The Navajo word for raven is "Ga-Gee" which is a lot like their call. They're also called Navajo Chicken, Navajo Air Force, and Flying Rats...very intelligent birds and into most everything that isn't nailed down. Put a bag of dogfood in the back of your pick up and walk away and a raven will peck open the bag, feast on the dogfood, and call his friends to join in the feast.

remember Ron, one does not have to run that fast while running from a bear... all you have to do, is run faster than the other guy....LOL
Omg. My encounter with a mother bear with her cubs basically boiled down to the above.
Ron, your pictures are amazing. On our next visit to your area I'm hoping the daughter will be old enough to stand still while I bird watch. She got very bored whenever I pulled out the binoculars to check on any bird.
The only wildlife I've encountered while I was kilted, was the old piper that tried to pick me up as I was leaving the stage at a highland dance competition. He was kilted too.

Not wildlife strictly speaking, but I noticed that the horses came over to the fence to have a listen when I played pipes last Saturday at the Veterans Cemetery of Cumberland Co. NJ

The elk and deer out here have a major travel route by our house and during the winter and spring are all over the place. But while out hiking last spring out on BLM property I heard a mom fox barking at me and started to look for her den. She was warning me to stay away. Finally spotted some movement up the trail and three kits were playing just outside the den. Got this pix of one of the kits. Mom circled off the trail to lure me away from the den and after snapping the pix, I departed the area to leave her family alone. I've seen the mom in the area still and hope she has more of a family. The kits were really cute and all three were up and playing out side dropping back down into the den for protection.
