Hello, your look is fine, it matches what I look like more or less for church as well.

One tip though, you may want to either lower your hose or raise your kilt, so your knees are visible.

    Brice,

Knowing your circumstances for needing a bit longer kilt, my advice is to fold down your hose some more to give the impression of a shorter kilt.

Make sure your tie isn't tucked in under your belt and you're good to go.

    • untuck the tie and use a tiepin or tack as necessary
I would ignore these suggestions. Please don't buy cream hose; you'll look like you belong in a pipe band. The color you're wearing looks fine. The color of the tie looks great with the kilt, which was the original purpose of your post. And, you've already addressed the tie issue; that is, you didn't know you had it tucked in.

I think you look great! I would lower the hose slightly; that's the only thing I'd change.

I'm sure it's already been covered, but- kilt is too low, socks are too high (should be some visible leg between kilt and hose) and tie is tucked under the belt. Otherwise, man- you look great!

I think you look great. I wear my kilt to church every week. I started out somewhat formal, with a shirt and tie. Now I usually wear a t-shirt and scrunched down hose, except for major feast days. One really dismal muddy day I wore p@nts and people were shocked that I wasn't wearing a kilt.

My personal preference for the shirt would be long sleeves. I lived in Idaho Falls and understand why you would want to have the short sleeves due to the heat. IMHO, you would not see much difference in comfort levels between the two, plus you would avoid the effects of skin damage due to the sun on your arms.

Sun damage to skin is something that should be considered by everyone. I have seen lovely ladies have their skini turned to leather by too much exposure and I have experienced what sun damage can do to one's skin. I caught the problem early enough to have it removed and now see my dermatologist once a year. Just food for thought.

You look good, I would go with a lighter pair of hose also, as ther black makes you look bottom heavy.

I'd also go for lighter-coloured hose, personally speaking.

Other than that, you look fine 'n' dandy!
