check hotels.ca for cheap rooms. I used this for our entire trip to Europe this past spring and I found I always had good places and a good rate. It looks like you can find a good room near the parliament buildings (including the Royal Scot) for around $85-$100 depending on your needs.

we got our room for $85 a night. By renting two nights, we received the third for free.

Well I sure wish I could be there with the rest of the mods. But, our annual cruise is the week prior and we'll be flying home that Friday. Were it not for that I probably could have done a sneak off like Jamie... err... Well, I would've worked something out.
