I have a pocket watch that I love, but have never worn. The chain does not end in a T bat, but in a little hook. I have no Idea what this is for but I would usually just loop it through my button hole. Any ideas?

I have been useing a pocket watch for years and have found that the best place for me to carry one while kilted is in my sporran (casual w/SW Night Stalker) clipped under the front flap.

Does anyone have any experience with the quality of the pocket watches offered by Scotweb?

If it is anything like the watch chain hooks that I have seen, you thread the chain hook, from the outside, inwards through a button hole of the waistcoat. You then hook the hook around the threads that hold the relevant button, for greater safeties sake.

    Or.

If the chain is long you might have spring type clip(like the one that holds the watch) on each end. The opposite end from the watch should have a fob or some such thing, anyway one end fits in your left waistcoat pocket and the other end fits in the right. The chain hangs in a loop. For greater security, thread the chain through the second(or one that suits) from bottom button hole of your waistcoat.
