    It obviously meant something to someone once, else it wouldn't have been used.

    It's a puzzler because most of the words don't appear in my Gaelic dictionary.

    There are only so many possibilites: either the words are rare or archaic, or have been garbled/misspelt.

    I myself like learning and scholarship and the finding out about the origin and meaning of things. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea.

    I also like learning and scholarship, as evidenced by my degrees and my work as a researcher, but I also like humor and recognize it when I see it!
