Like what tartan is used in the titles... What are those guys REALLY going to do with those sheep in the boat???... Was that really a tartan tat shop back in 1950... And which one of the people in the movie is Jock Scott...
Well in 1950 I was ten, not that I remember all that much and by then I was spending much of my time in England. The film does vividly remind me that nearly every one that worked on the land wore ex MOD Battle Dress.

The sheep by the look of them were probably being taken to market(on second look) they look in fine fettle. Many of the island sheep(and cattle) had to swim and swim quite long distances and amazingly most of them made it!

I heartily recommend "I Know Where I'm Going". Wendy Hiller, who I think was really one of the most attractive women I've ever seen on film...just a certain something about her.

    Re: Scottish Movies ?

There's a Highland Games sequence in The Onion Field (I'm one of the pipers in it) and another in Wrongfully Accused.

There's a whole load of kilts (and hokey Hollywood Highlanders) in Brigadoon.

For me, the ultimate kilt move is Tunes of Glory.

But none of these are Scottish movies, are they? Aren't they all filmed in Hollywood or London?

"The Legend of Loch Lomond" is a real Scottish movie, the first large format (IMAX) film produced in Scotland. It has plenty of kilts.

Awesome line up - I watched Monarch of the Glen (some of them ) and it was

really cool to see Kilts in a mini series. Thank You all so much , I am on the hunt to watch them all this week end .
