Great photo essay John, thanks for taking us on the family's day out (BTW Best wishes to Mrs EB for her birthday)
PS. Do you really work off shore in the North Sea or are you secretly a BBC photo-journalist?

Brilliant photo journal John!
Sorry I couldn't be there.
Nice to see that first M6 sign - my Mother lives in Macclesfield!

Oh, I did forget to mention, I also bumped into 'rsvpiper' on the way from the car park to the games site. He was sporting his beautiful tweed Isle of Skye Kilt, hand-knit Argyll hose and fantastic Artificer hair sporran.

Not unlike this pic from another thread.
With his pipes on his shoulder, he unfortunately couldn't stop as he had a pressing engagement elsewhere but we chatted for a moment or two, mainly about his Kilt and sporran (honestly... you'd be jealous). Regrettably I forgot to grab a picture but it was nice to meet another well known friend for the first time.

Superb pictures John, thanks for the comprehensive coverage of this year's Harpenden, much appreciated by those of us who were unable to attend this year.
Was thinking of you all while working on my local heritage railway (kilted of course) yesterday.
Your second last photo with your little girl playing Princess Merida with her bow and arrow is particularly good.
Will you manage up to Glasgow for the World's next month?

Thanks to all for the photos and the pics, it's the first time I've missed Harpenden since the mid 90's, so it's great to see the reports. And the rain stayed away! I have played in both the British Airways and the Harpenden pipe bands, so it's been rather warming to see a lot of familiar faces in the pics. Looks like you all had a great time. Cheers!
