I'm one of those guys that even has a hairy back. If I skipped hair cuts and shaving I'd look like Cousin It.

Hey, it's great being hairy, especially in the winter. It's good insulation, not to mention it's easier to carry off the barbaric look.

Bubba, I've actually sorta been Cousin Itt... ;-) Last October, I had enough hair that I could comb all of it forward and completely cover my face. Combine it with the beard, and a pair of eyeglasses, and, you get the idea. I, too, have a hairy back, except in the middle, where it has been worn bare. Probably because of the amount of driving I do. Chest is hairy, as well. Just call me Chewbacca (sp?)...

do not read if you have a light stomach or are eating.
g'day all, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
The main reason that I am trying to get into kilting is due to some surgery I had 3 weeks before easter (march I think)anyway I had a varicosecell removed and also had my left epiditamis(not sure on spelling) removed due to a cyst. For those of you going,"huh whats all that" a varicocell is like varicous veins only this one occurs in your scrotum. All us blokes have epiditamis, 2 infact , they are the little sacks that are joined to each of our testicles. they took my left one cause of the cyst. anyway while recovering, my wifes uncle jokingly mentioned that I need a kilt. so first thing i did when srfing the net one day during recovery I typed in kilt. thats how I discovered the wonderful world of the modern kilt. haveing the surgery has really opened my eyes as to what we put our tackle through on a daily basis. I still cant tolerate wearing jeans for long opting instead for trackpants etc. it now August so has been a great deal of time since surgery. So yes, I agree with what Graham is saying as to the effect of our health that pants are causing.
Hope this makes sense, its been a long day and I am ready for the pillow. Cheers to all Andrew
p.s. Hope I didnt put anyone off there tucker

Takes more than that to ruin my appetite. Have you considered possibly getting medical insurance to help pay for kilts as a medical neccesity? Hmmm. I'll have to look into that dodge myself.

Andrew, I feel your pain (almost literally.) Last year, I developed "Chronic Epididimitus", which means that sporadically, my epididymus swells, and pinches my testicles, causing large amounts of pain. :x
Sorry to hear about the health problems , but on the plus side, it got you into a kilt.

Hope you recover soon Andrew.
You know freedom is sometimes something you don't know about untill you have it.
All the years I spend crushing and cramping my tackle in tight jeans.....I must have been stark raving bonkers!

I think we have enough afflicted for a small brotherhood here. I too have suffered from a similar afflication. The cause of mine being a vasectomy I had about 15 years ago. "Painful" just starts to describe the condition when it flairs up .Anti-inflamatory medications help a bit, along with no moving around. The instances have decreased since I stopped wearing blue jeans - about a year now. (hateful things they are.) No surgery yet, thank God.
