Kilted at Work
Had my camera at work for a project so snapped a pic. Head got cut off. Just set the camera on my desk.
Anyway, here I are in weathered Gordon from Celtic Croft, Navy sweater and Lewis kilt hose from Matt and the SWK ballistic sporran and Z Coils.
A pretty typical outfit for work. For the new folks I'm a professional counselor at a mental health agency working primarily with criminal justice referred alcoholics and drug addicts.

This is me in 'semi dress' mode addressing the haggis at The Joseph Arch pub near Warwick a couple of years ago. Unfortunately this event has now been dropped, but it was great fun and helped to raise a lot of cash for a local charity. It's only a small pub and you can imagine the noise those pipes used to make in the confined space! I've since replaced the crome sporran chains with black leather tassels (to make it more 'daywear') and renovated a second hand silver dress sporran to wear on more formal occasions. The funny thing is that the old guy I bought the sporran from started a Burns Night at his pub, The Shakespeare in Leamington Spa, and claims that the landlord of The Joseph Arch nicked his idea! Being Scottish one of his customers asked for "A haggis sandwich" and he said "You'll get haggis alright, but on the proper night" and this promped his idea. It was so successful that the piper had to play out on the street to entertain all those that couldn't get into the pub. Aye_ those were the days!
The Kilt is my delight !
