I agree, wait, save and buy a standard, not an economy. I have a standard that looks like a wool. Most people wouldn't be able to tell it's not wool, including me.

I love black and red, so I would buy a Wallace in my future, but also, the Black Watch is universal. I'll probably end up buying both.

Yeah, I would say just save your money and buy the standard. As for a tartan, I personally like the Black Watch. That's what I'm thinknig of getting next.

I'd say black watch, but that's just 'cause it's my favorite tartan. Then again, with the exception of uniforms and white dress shirts, almost all of my clothing has been black for the past 12 years. (yes, I was a goth in high school, and still pretty much fit that description...)

Okay, I don't want to open a political can of worms or anything (in fact if those of you addressed want to PM with an answer that'd be fine too)... but a couple of you seemed very opposed to the Black Watch tartan (at least for you personally). Is there some extraneous reason for this, or do you just not like the tartan? I ask because I honestly don't know...
