Frank,
As it is their party, I would do as requested. However, your first post didn't indicate that they would be performing a check on you. I would not tolerate a check as they have your word as a fellow Mason. That should be good enough. Kilt on.

That is what I am MOST concerned with. Will they take me at my word, or will someone actually want to check.

I really doubt if anyone would be quite that rude. Of course you could split the difference and wear a thong !

Well, it all turns out to be a moot point. I am going to a christmas party with a group from our church instead. I will wear the kilt to the party, where all have seen me in it. Aand this group will not ask stupid questions. Once again, I thank all who responded.
