Little Airships past 6 days

It was a fab Sat weatherwise even up the mountains although very cold with the wind chill ...
we took to the hopper bus


and off we went ... the light and colours were fab ... it was cool for the airship

The Airship insisted on having a leaving party here ... its a cold wind, thats why Elaine keeping her head down


But soon we were away having a blast


We borrowed a chefs hat and had a bit o fun

My goodness, Derek, you are an excellent tour guide for that lucky little airship!

Your pictures bring back a lot of memories. I could put some of mine up there with yours. I think that I took a picture of the phone booth just around the corner with Big Ben in the background.

Jermyn St is special to me as that is my mother's maiden name.On one trip we brought back a tie from Jermyn St for one of our sons. My great-great grandfather was Thomas Jermyn who served in Queen Victoria's Guard. There was a Thomas in every generation of Jermyn's. It continues on through my family line down to my grandson. I don't know how far back it goes.

After the pub we went for a walk even though it was bitter cold

The water was much calmer, but it was still very cold with the wind. Even so it was a crystal clear and beautiful day

We eventually made it back to the little hopper bus stop


And got on the bus


And we set off

As we progressed the sun was getting lower




Then one hour later we were back in town

Then we had a little winter warmer


Before getting the bus home


Thats it folks .....

It has been a great pleasure in looking after our friend for the last few weeks ... and tomorrow it will pass on to its new 'keeper' ...
I hope u aint got to bored with its outings, but elaine and myself have had a fab time with our little friend and I hope it continues its journey in true friendship ..
