Regular Kilt Night in PS area
I had no idea when I joined XMTS that there were so many of the kilted about. I agree that a regular kilt night in the area is a fine idea. The only thing better than a pub would be a brewpub. I have had a leatherneck kilt for several years but have seldom worn it. Learning that there are others near by will change that. Add my name for kilted activities in the PS area.

Well, that's at least three of us. At least I won't have to drink alone.
I'll do some more checking around on this, my friend is definately on the inside track of the pub scene around the valley. She might be able to suggest some other spots we might want to try as well.
Although, this project is starting to sound like pretty dry work. Especially out here in the desert. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to do some pub recon. int:

Do you think we should move this to another thread? I have kinda gotten off track for this one.
Apologies to all.

Folks,
We need to know:
How many of us are coming?
Where do we meet?
I have to say that Lyon's seems good based on the fact that it is large, fairly centrally located, and near a hotel for those of us coming out of the area.
So,
Are you in? (if so please say so)
Is this Lyon's place sound OK? If not propose a better alternative.
The F-H.C.A.G. and I are looking forward to meeting Hamish, Jim, and everyone else who can attend.
Cheers
Jamie

Ah, but not as much as I am looking forward to meeting the F-H.C.A.G. and your good self, Jamie - and everyone else who can attend, of course!
Take care,
Ham.

It turns out I have a gig that morning in Walnut Creek. Is anyone else considering a bomber run down to PS on the afternoon of the fourth? I've done that drive in one shot and it's not to bad with company or a spare driver. I should be free around noon or maybe a bit earlier on Saturday. PM me if this is a possibility.

Regrettably, I am not able to make it. It seems a shame that Ham and Jim would come all this way and I couldn't make it a third of the distance. I had hoped that the class I am teaching would have been concluded by this time, but I miscalculated the duration on my first go-around. I will have another month to take care of before I can go anywhere.
Regards,
Rex.

Count me in . . .
Gibbs and other locals: I vote we recon Lyon's and the other suggestions (I'm no use as I only really knew PS about 15 years ago . . . only been back 6 months and haven't made it down there for too many pub runs). Not like I need an excuse for a pint . . . I will be in PS/PD/LaQ on Wed (04 Mar) so if we wanna meet somewhere, I'm game.
PM for a phone number . . .
