Just looking at the poll results kind of reminds me of a horse race---after all I do live in the home town of the Kentucky Derby.
It is Limerick County and Culloden Muted neck and neck in the final furlong, with Caledonia half a length behind on the outside and National Millenium coming up on the rail, Jacobite Modern has fallen off the back and may have pulled up lame, but making a late run is EICC up the middle, it is going to be a close one folks.

Lady Chrystel is planning to make a few Kingussie Kilts and she would like to know what tartan you would choose amongst the following:
# 4 Edinburg International Conference Center EICC
# 2 Limerick County
I like #4 followed closely by #2.

Good luck with this project Chrystel and Robert. I'm sure the resulting kilts in whatever tartan will be stunning.
The poll doesn't appear to allow multiple votes anymore so in order of preference.
First:
# 5 Culloden Muted
Joint second:
# 6 Caledonian New Old Colours
# 2 Limerick County
Fourth:
# 1 National Millenium
Fifth:
# 4 Edinburg International Conference Center EICC
Did not finish:
# 3 Jacobite Modern

Bump...
The verdict?
I would LOVE to see the Limerick County Kingussie Kilt when completed. It's a very handsome tartan.

First:
# 5 Culloden Muted
I have the pleasure to announce that we have ordered 8 yards of the gorgeous Culloden Muted Tartan from the House of Edgar.
I will also have the pleasure to keep you informed of the kilt's evolution.
So far Chrystel has two Kingussie kilts to make .
Bob Martin, Master kiltmaker and historian extraordinaire, sent strong words of encouragement to Chrystel yesterday. We are all very excited.
Lady Chrystel and I would like to personally thank all of you who heped us in choosing the Tartan for her first original edition of the Kingussie Kilt.
Best,
Robert

None of these thanks, I would prefer that Lady Chrystel completed my Weathered Hunting Cunningham box pleat before becoming distracted by this new project.
Kingussie pleats (or reverse Kingussie pleats) is perhaps best left to Utilikilts!

The only one of my original kilts which has not become a reverse Kingussie is a jungle print with lions, elephants and - possibly hipopotamii, - due to my tendency to put folds into any piece of fabric long enough - it is just the thing for long hot Summer evenings in the garden.
The thing is that when sitting with one's feet up the Kingussie pleats tend to fall and spread, though in the heat that is no bad thing really.
It could be the amount of fabric in the pleats, and after the centre box pleat there is no problem making the pleats deeper, so I await the results of this with great interest.
I might try a heavy material Kingussie - just three layers of fabric in the pleats - for indoor wear in the Winter, just to see if it is the design or the fabric which makes it feel so fly away. Of course my making pleats without any sewing down of fells and the like does make things more dangerous.
I always have this vision of a slender runner with rippling pleats flowing behind him when I think of Kingussies - too much cinnamon in the bananana soup surprise, I think.
