In my research, it seems to be a "tradition" that has no real prescedent and was just made up for the sake of having rules -- and not that long ago, at that. I say let the ladies' wear their sashed how they wish!

Nicely said; very diplomatic, but to the point.

Fantastic set of pics and they show how well and co-ordinated you look, and very handsome might I add.
The comments about the ladies' sash. It is at odds with with the Chiefs Lady and what the RSCDS say as to which shoulder, so I agree that any is ok and not to be so pedantic about what is correct or not. Let us move into the 21st century and enjoy wearing tartan sashes for the lady on any shoulder.

Kyle,
What strikes me is how well the casual look comes off. Formal is expected to be fancy and so I think we focus on it too much. The more relaxed pics show a level of comfort with the kilt that I appreciate.

Joe,
Thank you for your comments. I agree with you with regards to the more relaxed pics of me, I do feel extremely comfortable in that manner of dress. The kilt has never been an hinderance for me whilst wearing it, rather the opposite, and I think the kilt, and all its accessories, should always feel that way-even with the more formal, fancy dress!
Cheers,

Well done, cousin. Thanks for sharing. I don't have much call for dressing formally, so I'm also glad to see some more casual pics...especially showcasing the MacPherson tartan!

Thank you! I am working on incorporating more tartan waistcoats, cut on the bias (3 and 5 button), into my Highland wardrobe. I love your attire, featured in your avatar. Absolutely spot on!

That is a nice set of photos, Kyle.
Matt, I'm starting to agree with you on the tattersal shirts. I couldn't get my head around them in the past, but I'm changing my mind slowly .
