I was very glad to have gotten a chance to say hello to Mael Coluim and Tartan Hiker and wish I could have made it for the meet ups. We just got really busy at the clan tents with our Chief in attendance and the time flew by.
Did anybody else get too much sun on Saturday? I got fairly well cooked. It was definitely a warm one...but a wonderful one nonetheless!

I'm really sorry that we did NOT play the Grandfather Mountain gig this year. I apologize to you guys for having to miss-out on one year of the fun, but we were booked long in advance of the offer. From what the other performers are telling me about he heat... well... maybe I'm not too sorry!
I also heard that they could have used us.

Jimmy Carbomb,
It was rather toasty outside of the shade and there were not many clouds. My wife is now an entertaining shade of red from that day.

It really was just unnecessarily hot. Someone needs to plan better for next year.
I have to admit that I spent most of the weekend lying in my hammock in the shade reading. It was just too darned hot to do much else, and I needed some down time after a busy hiking schedule the past two weeks.
Sorry I missed out on the Sunday photo...was busy packing the band kitchen and tent.

About 2:30 or so the clouds came over and the temperature dropped a few degrees, and a nice breeze started up. It was almost like being in the mountains of western North Carolina.
