    Monarch...

Golly is my favourite as well, although Hector and Killwillie rate a close second and third -- my wife says that my best friend and I are Hector & Killwillie to a "T"!

I like Golly's sense of tradition and loyalty -- even though he is a Mackenzie, he wears the Donald tartan as a symbol of loyalty to his Chief.

I love the episode when Hector & Molly leave the big house and move to the gate house because of the Sassenach Justine -- and Golly lowers the flag to half-staff and throws a proper salute to Hector!
I wish the show would have explored a little more of Hector and Golly's military service -- at one point Hector says something about a couple of old Cameron Highlanders, but that's all we hear.

Katrina or Lexy...Lexy all the way! There is something sexy about that Glaswegian accent! 8)

    Cheers,

    T.

Thanks for the info about MOTG Hamish, we are well behind in the series, we can but wait on the ABC to screen the next series.

    Graham,

Very sad news: He's gone already. Last week, He strode off, kilt swinging, towards the horizon - and that was the end of the episode. However, He has not gone to New Zealand after all.

This week's episode did not have a single kilt in it!! And without Him, the future's not orange!!

I don't have a clue what any of this or who this is about.. beyond a what you say here that a guy is on tv in a kilt.. never heard of any of this...... but I don't watch TV much at all so I won't miss this duncan dude I guess whoever he is. I did notice in that pic in this thread that the young Girl and boy were getting a view up his kilt..

Well JohnAllen, if you have a chance to see it, do so. It's a very good series. Not only is the writing and storyline good, it's full of beautiful scenery.

    JohnAllen,

I too do not watch TV, however I do watch DVD's and Videos when my schedule permits. People recommend shows that interest me and then I go visit the Library and check them out, and the price is always right.

I really never heard of Monarch of the Glen until everyone here started saying how good it is, and it really is good.
